OneRepublic will be joining Fitz & The Tantrums and James Arthur on tour this year. The bands bring a new element to the music scene. OneRepublic took the music scene by storm with their “overnight” success.
The band, from Colorado, has been active since 2002 and became a success thanks to MySpace, a former leading social network.
Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins released their music on MySpace without a label. The band went on to tour in 2003, adding key members of the group along the way. “Apologize” was the song’s original hit single and was then remixed by Timbaland, helping propel the band’s popularity to new heights.
The band is currently touring on the 16th Annual Honda Civic Tour, which features two legs and 49 shows. The tour will begin in Kansas City and end in Zepp, Tokyo in September. Tedder announced that the band will headline the Civic Tour on Instagram.
OneRepublic is known for singing 17 songs as a regular set and often includes an encore to satisfy fans.
Fitz and The Tantrums was formed in 2008 as an indie pop and neo soul band with Michael Fitzpatrick on vocals. The band released their first album Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1, in 2009 before the band joined Maroon 5 for eight concerts.
The band has since released three studio albums. Their most recent album is Fitz and the Tantrums, which was released in 2016.
The album’s most successful songs are “HandClap” and “Roll Up.” The album has received mixed reviews from critics, with some calling the album “exhausting.” The album features 11 tracks in total.
James Arthur is a British star who appeared on The X Factor in 2012, winning the show. He has sold over 1.4 million copies of “Impossible,” Arthur’s debut single. His single has sold over 2.4 million copies worldwide.
James Arthur, his self-titled debut album, was filled with controversy and Arthur leaving theSyco record label owned by Simon Cowell in 2014. He would go on to sign with Columbia Records before re-signing with Syco a year later.
Arthur’s second album, Back from the Edge, was released under Columbia.
Arthur has been nominated for several music awards in 2017, including Choice Breakout Artist and British Artist Video of the Year. “Say You Won’t Let Go” is Arthur’s most recent, popular piece of work.
The single was his lead single off of the Back from the Edge album.
