Kiss & Def Leppard: Two Rock and Roll Legends Unite
Two of rock’s greatest bands are joining forces for an unforgettable summer tour: KISS & Def Leppard. The 40-stop tour kicks off in Salt Lake City, Utah and hits several cities across the country before coming to a close on August 31 in Woodlands, Texas, visiting White River Amphitheater this June.
Fans may be surprised by the band’s set list, but the on-stage theatrics are bigger and better than ever. Def Leppard will open the show with some favorites from their early career like “Let It Go” and other favorites including “Bringin’ on the Heartbreak” and “Switch 625.” Expect most of their set list to include their mega-hits from their best-selling albums Hysteria and Pyromania. Fans may be surprised to hear “Photograph” and “Rock of Ages” sounding just as good today as it did decades ago.
But it’s KISS that will really make the night memorable. With “King of the Night Time World” returned as the show opener for the first time in five years, the band pays tribute to some of their under-appreciated songs. Expect to hear “Hide Your Heart” and “Psycho Circus” pretty early on in the set.
Of course, KISS doesn’t disappoint in the visual effects, lightning and video department. It wouldn’t be a KISS show without the theatrics fans have come to expect from the rock legends. This is KISS’ first tour since being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the band is celebrating their 40th anniversary. In the usual KISS fashion, the band has pulled out all the stops and delivers all the bells and whistles during the show.
KISS is a band that really needs no introduction. Throughout their 40-year career, the band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and 28 of their albums have gone gold, more than any other American rock band.
