Florida Georgia Line remain one of country music’s top acts since 2010. The duo secured the best-selling digital country song in 2014 with their single “Cruise.” The song is the only song in the country music genre to reach Diamond certification.
“Cruise” has sold over 10 million copies.
Florida Georgia Line released their first album in 2010 titled Anything Like Me. The duo wrote every song on the album, which was produced by Wesley Walker. The 6-song EP featured “Black Tears,” which would also make its appearance on Jason Aldean’s Night Train album.
Here’s to the Good Times was the duo’s first studio album and features 11 songs. The album, produced by Joey Moi, was the sixth best-selling album in 2013 and put the band into the spotlight. “Cruise” went on to be remixed by Nelly, reaching the #4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. “Cruise” took over the #1 spot on the Country Airplay charts.
The duo’s second studio album Anything Goes was released in 2014, with “Dirt,” the album’s first single, reaching the top 5 on Billboard Hot Country Songs.
Dig Your Roots, the duo’s third studio album, was released in August 2016. The album has a lot of features and special guests, including Backstreet Boys, Tim McGraw and Ziggy Marley.
The duo has been touring since 2013, with the Dig Your Roots Tour running in 2016 and Smooth Tour in 2017.
Florida Georgia Line won New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year and also won the award for New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2013. “Cruise” helped the group win Duo Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2013 CMT Music Awards.
The pair has gone on to win Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, CMT Music Awards, CMA Awards, People’s Choice Awards, ACM Awards and several others.
In 2017, the band’s “H.O.L.Y.” single won the Billboard Music Awards’ Top Country Song.
The Smooth Tour is the duo’s fourth tour and opened June 3, 2017. The tour has one leg and is slated to come to an end on October 21, 2017. The tour, announced in February 2017, has several opening acts that will hit the stage with the duo, including:
Russell Dickerson, Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen and Ryan Hurd will all be joining the tour on select dates.
